The Ishasha sector is in the southern side of the Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you are able to have Mountain gorilla trekking safari experience. Tree climbing Lions are also found in Kidepo valley National park and Murchison falls national park.
However this is at a very rare occasion compared to the Ishasha sector where they are mostly in trees.
Lions climb up the acacia trees after having a big catch in the morning or Evening. They do climb up to hide away from Hyenas which attack them after having caught a prey. But mostly they climb because of the many insects and flies which bite them while on the ground. So they do that for their own security and better health.
